Roddy Tree Ranch

Place is super cool & beautiful even after the devastating flood of July 2025. The Lazy Days Canteen host some cool shows including the Relief events with live musicians & family fun. The view at night is amazing and the Hill Country vibes are one of a kind! The Roddy Tree Ranch made our first trip to the Hill Country Texas a special experience.

Was looking for an authentic Texas experience for my kids coming to visit us for the first time and this was excellent! Due to the pandemic they had postponed and then the cabin we chose was occupied so they upgraded them to the Pecan Springs Farm and it was so spacious and beautiful! What an awesome experience for them. Will definitely be back!!

I djed for my 30th class reunion. Was a great spot and excellent set up. Owner and staff were top notch. Would definitely recommend this venue again.

We stayed in the Ponderosa bunkhouse after the July 4th floods. The bunkhouse was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The hosts were great and we got to meet some of the wonderful neighbors on the property. I would recommend Roddy Tree Ranch as a great place to stay.

Love this place so much! My family has been coming to Roddy Tree for about 20 years now. I have booked one or two cabins at a time for a small family getaway or a church retreat. We have also booked the entire ranch for the weekend for a wedding. The grounds are beautiful and absolutely well maintained. Property owners/managers are always quick to respond with any needs that we might have in a friendly and professional way. You can swim in one of two pools, game room, play sand volleyball, disk golf, go for long walks on trails, fish at the stocked pond, canoe/float the river, or just hang out and have a drink at the outdoor bar listening to live music at the Lazy Canteen bar/pavillian while the kids run around in a safe environment catching fireflies or playing basketball. I have never had a problem with any of the house being dirty on arrival and kitchen/bathrooms are all fully stocked with pretty much everything that you needs. I can't recommend this place enough. My family looks forward to our Roddy Tree vacation ever summer. They can fill up quickly so book yours sooner rather than later!

Location was awesome, property has two pools (during summer) be fabulous. Even though we did get in … we watched the stars super serene always from all city noise. Close to Kerrville and Fredricksburg. It had everything we needed to recharged. Access to dam we went canoeing and had a blast. Come and take a look. We will return again.

This is our second year staying at Roddy Tree over the 4th of July weekend. Last year was great! The fireworks show and Cantina were awesome. This year, unfortunately was the flood so there was no celebration for obvious reasons. The grounds did receive some damage, however all of the cabins were high and dry. I really hope they can recover their losses as we would love to return next year. My grandkids love this place! It’s so safe and low key. Just what we need for our family get away. Praying for everyone affected by this tragedy.

I stayed on the ranch per the suggestion of a friend of the owner's. I had a wonderful, peaceful and beautiful experience with the land, duck, ponds, river across the road and easy access to my events. My 1 bedroom cabin was adorable, clean and very comfortable. Right in the heart of the hill country, I couldn't ask for anything better. I would definitely recommend and return for another stay.
